Elmer E. Chapman was born in Stephenson Co., Ill, Aug 2 1861 and died April 4th 1932 at the age of 70 years, 8 mon. and 2 days. He moved to town with his parent swhen a small child where he grew to manhood.
He was united in marriage June 26, 1886 to Clara e. Chapman at Primghar, Iowa and lived near the place until Oct. 1900 when they moved to this neighborhood.
Twelve children were born to this union, eight boys and four girls.
His wife and three children preceeded him in death.
Those living are : Joe and Winslow of McHenry, N.D.; Henry of Rockford, Ill; Clarence and Fred of Verndale; Mrs. Rose Michel of Midddle Lake, Sask. Canada; Mrs. Chas Russel of Hewitt and Charley and Guy at home. He also leaves four brothers Weston of Lodgepole, SD; George of Primghar, Ia; Jay of Mirror Landing, Alberta Can and Roy whose address is unknown. There are also 19 grand children besides a number of nephews and nieces left to mourn his death.
