More than fifty years ago he chose as his trade that of a painter, following it until ill health, made it necessary for him to give it up. In this capacity he was closely identified with the bvuildsing of Primghar and has seen the town grow from the small village to a thriving county seat town. On May, 1883, he was united in marriage to Lizzie Burk, who survives him. To them were born four children, three of whom are still living. They are: Mrs. C. C. Wood of Mankato, Minn, George L. Chapman of Greenwood, Miss, and Carl Chapman of Primghar. His memory will be cherished by his loved ones and friends. | ||||||||||||||
