| OBITUARY: Bremer City Indenpendent 16 June 1904 Bremer Independent 16 Jun 1904 Emma Winne Bowman was born at Elkhorn, Wis., April 1856. In 1860 she came with her parents to Waverly, Iowa. She was married to William R. Bowm, April 24, 1878. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekahs and the P.E.O. She was organizing state regent of the DAR and continued as state regent of the DR for many years. She was a member of the Colonial Dames through the Connecticut society. After a long and painful illness continuing over a period of nearly two years, death came to relieve her suffering early Saturday morning, June 11, 1904. She leaves husband and two daughters, Mrs. H. V. Rule, of Milwaukee, and Miss Grace Winne Bowman, to mourn her loss. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from St. Andrew's eiscopal church and was attended ny a large concourse of sorrowing friends. Archdeaon S.R. J. Hoyt and Rev. G. H. Bailey officiated. The burial was in Harlington cemetery.99 Albert Quaife Letters - not our Emma Winne Mrs. Ed. Winne died at 10 a. m. yesterday, aged 30 years and 4 months. The deceased maiden name was Laura A. Quaife. She was born in Bradford, Iowa, Jan. 17, 1869. She was married at Nashua, Oct. 15, 1891, to Edward Winne, who with three children survives her. Albert E. Quaife, her father, lives at Nashua. The funeral is tomorrow, Friday, at 10 a.m. from the Episcopal church. It is expected that Rev. S. R. J. Hoyt, of Davenport, will officiate101 | ||||||||||||||||
