Freedom Twp. Died at her home in Phillipsburg on Feb 27, 1952 at age 70 years, 7 mo 6 days; dau of Milton W and Stella Chapman, born on July 21, 1881 in a log house on her father's homestead in Freedom Twp, at early age moved with arents to their timber claim, there grew to womanhood.
Married Feb 24, 1903 to John T. Reece.
Four Children: Merritt of Alpena, Mi; Eunice Baggerly of Phillipsburg, KS; Owen Charles preceded his mother in death, 1911; Fern L preceded his mother in death, 1911.
Moved to farm in Freedom twp; lived there until Aug 9, 1944 when reitred and moved to Phillipsburg, KS. Mrs. Reece was an invalid for 20 years, cared for by daughter Eunice.
She united with Mthodist Church when a young woman. She had 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren at time of death. She was preceeded in death by mother, father, husband, 2 children, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 grandchild. |
